In video games, mods are a way to alter a game and reclaim control over it. The scene is vast and rich, offering limitless possibilities; anything is possible. However, it is regrettable to note that modding is another arena where the image of women is manipulated and subjected to all desires. It has won a special award by the Michalski Fondation

The text explores the representations of women in cinema, television, and advertising, highlighting many motifs that explain the catastrophe of female bodies representation. Video games, knowing no bounds, take liberties that physical life does not permit. While some game companies are slowly revisiting their approach to female representation, certain loud factions of the gaming community resist these decisions through modding. Others use this tool to invite inclusion. The dissertation is accompanied by a visual notebook that contextualizes the readers with screenshots of comments, film excerpts, modding pages, forums, and games.
